چکیده
Propositions of vapor compression cycles for microgravity applications have a long history. In contrast, experimental efforts and implemented are rare in general recent years even less than the 1980s 1990s. The paper shows results from cycle on parabolic flights. focus lies effects varying gravity forces condenser evaporator. Flow visualizations clearly showed change to an annular or slug-annular flow regime at evaporator inlet shortly after onset gravity. discharge pressure was found consistently increase sharply by 1–3% across widely operating conditions. Oscillations were observed some parabolas due microgravity. Overall, response based cooling capacity can be categorized four different groups, which appear dependence both mass rate superheat.

متن کاملUsing Carbon Dioxide in a Transcritical Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycle
For most of the last fifty years, refrigeration and heat pump systems have been based on cycles using a fluorocarbon as the working fluid. Hovvever, with the discovery that fluorocarbons may have a profoundly detrimental effect on the earth ·s atmosphere. it has become necessary to find a suitable replacement for a fluorocarbon based refrigeration cycle. Such a replacement must perform comparab...
متن کاملDynamical modeling and thermo-economic optimization of a cold room assisted vapor-compression refrigeration cycle
A cold room assisted vapor-compression refrigeration cycle is dynamically modeled in a year and optimized. Total annual cost (TACO) and coefficient of performance (COP) are selected as two objective functions. Both cold room and refrigeration cycle parameters are considered as design variables. Moreover, three working fluids included R22, R134a and R407c are examined. The optimum Pareto front r...

In this paper, fluid flow and heat transfer in the laboratory (small size) shell tube heat exchanger are analysed by computational fluid dynamic software. In this type of shell tube heat exchanger baffles with different angles of rotation: 00 (horizontal segmental baffle), 150 (from horizontal), 300, 450, 600, 750, 900 (vertical segmental baffle) is used. Effect of baffle orientation on shell t...
متن کاملPerformance of High Pressure Air Cycle in Comparison With Synthetic and Natural Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycles
Concerning the use of HFCs as substitutes for CFCs and HCFCs a major concern in applications with remarkable leakages of refrigerant is its contribution to global warming. Therefore, the attention has been drawn to the use of natural working fluids, like carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, water and air. Air had been already used in the range of air conditioning technology. Air as refrigerants is sta...
